Average NHS Net GP Earnings
All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.
The average pay for GPs working at Kingsbury Health and Wellbeing (formerly Stag Lane Medical Centre and Primary Care Medical Centre) in the last financial year was £42,695.30 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 3 full time equivalent GPs and 2 part time locum GP who worked in the practice for more than six months.
Every patient has a named GP.
As Dr Ajit Shah is retiring as a partner from April 2016 all our patients named GP is Dr Upma Shah.
Dr Ajit will still be available for consultations.
Friends and Family Test
From 1 December 2014 all GP practices will implement the NHS Friends and Family Test (FFT). The FFT is a feedback tool that supports the fundamental principle that people who use NHS services should have the opportunity to provide feedback on their experience that can be used to improve services. Kingsbury Health & Wellbeing is actively participating. Please complete a questionnaire when you next use our services.
On the 1st July 2015 Stag Lane Medical Centre and Primary Care Medical Centre merged to form Kingsbury Health and Wellbeing. The old Primary Care Medical Centre closed and we operate from the former Stag Lane Medical site.
The practice has proposed we rebuild the room at the front of the building that was brought down in the autumn of 2013 and refurbish some administrative areas in the practice. This will give us more room for clinical space and also to use for patient support and meetings. There is a consultation underway and again your support is appreciated.
New Appointment System
From 24.2.2015 the practice introduced a new appointment system that will give you better access to us. You telephone the practice, details are taken and a doctor calls you back within 1-2 hours. You may not need to come in to see us but if you do an appointment for the same or next day will be made for you. Please see the attached video. Again leaflets are available within the practice. Please tell us how you find the new service.
